4:00 to 5:30 PM - Smart Talk: Women and Film in the Blogosphere
Writer/marketer/blogger Melissa Silverstein of Women & Hollywood moderates a panel of some of the most influential film bloggers on the Internet. They will discuss the business and politics of being a female film critic in the emerging field of blogs.

Come see a special screening of Big Beach Film's upcoming release Sunshine Cleaning, about a struggling single mother (Amy Adams) who starts a crime scene cleanup business with her unreliable sister (Emily Blunt) in order to send her son to private school. The film is directed by Christine Jeffs and written by Megan Holley. Following the screening there will be a Q&A with the film's producer Peter Saraf (Little Miss Sunshine, Adaptation)

Come see finalists for our student-written documentary pitch competition pitch their work to a panel of industry guests in order to get feedback on not only their films but also their pitching techniques. Panelists include execs from IFP, HBO, POV, and Chicken & Egg Pictures.

Excerpts of the student finalists' screenplays will be read by actors from the StoneStreet Studio. Directed by Matt Morgenthaler. Winners will be announced at the close of the event.

Come see some of the most impressive work done by all levels of Tisch students. The screening will be followed by our awards ceremony which will honor Fusion's best Graduate, Undergraduate, and Sight and Sound directors and cinematographers.

3:00 PM - Screening: SHOOTING WOMEN
New York Premiere of Alexis Krasilovsky's documentary on female cinematographers sponsored by Women Make Movies. Featuring more than 50 camerawomen from around the world and shot over a period of six years, Shooting Women, by pioneering filmmaker and cinema studies professor Alexis Krasilovsky, celebrates the amazing talent and unflinching spirit of image-making women from the sets of Hollywood and Bollywood to the war zones of Afghanistan.

Professor Sandi Sissel, ASC, moderates this panel of important female cinematographers with Nancy Schreiber, ASC (American Gun), Valentina Caniglia (Pomegranates and Myrrh), Kate Phelan, and more. This event will be followed by a closing reception in the lower lobby.
